A - ANIMAL OR COMPANION?

Heya all! So, its April again and time to hop on aboard the A-Z challenge extravaganza. My theme this year ( 2014 ) will be strictly '100 or less words' stuff ( don't blame me if I cross 100 ). She sat looking lost.
As she saw me, in her eyes, crept some hope.
Started she; following me, trusting blindly.
Wanting love, shelter; a companion she wanted to be.
Not an animal merely.

RUINS

Once centre of hustle-bustle; was the famous old temple.
People came from far and near, to worship their idols.
Civilization recycles; older departs newer sprouts.
Same is this temple.
Waiting for a recycle!
