MOVE OVER POO, UORFI, ORRY COS' HERE COMES SHALINI PASSI!

Couple of years ago it was all about 'main apni favourte hoon' by Poo! Poo who? Who doesn't know Poo? You're not of this world if you don't know our Poo! ( of KKKG )
Then came the half naked woman who ran around Bombay/Mumbai streets esp airports ( strutting her own red carpet ) in some crazy innovative DIY outfits getting the papparazi all bowled and in turn photo-bombing our facebook and instagram feeds relentlessly ( not to mention our 'sensibilities' ) - Uorfi Javed, as we came to know her with the 'badass' tagline - 'badnaam huwa toh kya, naam toh huwa'!
Then came 'mai liver hoon' 'am a liver because I live' 'what work do I do - I work on myself' - the weird cum intriguing ( if one can be both ) Orry! It was Orry ki horry(?) everywhere with his pecuiar accent and equally peculiar infamous selfie poses mainly with celebs and the outrageous crazy claim that he charges 25lakhs per selfie, 'gulps'!

And if we didn't have enough on our platter already and seen it all...here comes another unique specimen who has managed to get the whole internet 'universe' crazy...for some Cleopatra-type dressing ~ a certain Madam ( Senorita?) femme-fatale called ~ Shalini Passi!
Why is she unique? Look for yourself...its not for some shoot that she dresses up like Cleopatra. All the clothes she wears are her own and not hired or sponsored by any designer. Its her style and she actually dresses like that in real life. Whoa! And its not just the dressing she has everyone hooked to the small mobile screens; but for the words she utters. And..man are they captivating or what. You can't beieve the words..and one has to listen twice to actually confirm someone ( she ) has said it. I'm sure the mobile companies are happy as their bandwidths are happily getting spent at bullet-train speed, and, they are inturn happily running to their banks...more subscriptions and recharges, you see. Everyone is happy - its a happy world. All credits to a happy Madame' Passi.

So who exactly is Shalini Passi? Why is she everywhere on the internet these days? Why everytime I open my mobile...she is plastered all over the screen. Why all the bollywood portals are chasing her instead of other actresses. Last I checked, she's not an actress or a model... heck, no one knew of her existance even. So who the hell is Shalini Passi...who has got all our minds fuzzy, eh?

For once, I'm glad she is a socialite who hasn't used any lip-fillers as yet. I'm so done with everyone looking like ducks these days what with huge inflated lips all having gone under the knife. So here Shalini Passi wins some instant points with her refreshing looking natural lips. And when she opens them to speak...a soft voice ( don't get fooled by it though ), her quick wit and self-indulgent articulate one-liners will really keep you hooked and make you smile - she ain't no dumb bimbo as she perhaps looks or projects with all that over-the-top dressing sense. I almost forgive her, because, she is genuinely entertaining and she actually suits those outfits. I can't think of anyone else. Not now, after having seen her. She is really the Cleopatra of modern times ( or maybe the original one too ) keeping everyone hypnotized to her charming and elegant persona. If I ever imagine a Cleopatra..Shalini Passi will make an appearace in that imagination. And thankfully, she is not a show off even while apparently showing off - if you understand what I mean. She actually looks quite naive and innocent behind all that glaring 'glittery' n 'flashy' facade. And its quite refreshing in comparision to all the boldness, snobbery and artificiality we see around.

She claims she lives in a 20,000 sq feet mansion. Yeah..to try out all those outfits and twirl around, I think all that space too will not be quite enough. Her husband earns and she happily spends it. An ideal life. She says, her husband is her world. I believe her. If she lives such an extravagant life she wouldn't be complaining anyways. Her husband is indeed her world who provides her with all that luxury. She collects art and antiques; and does philantrophy. Super rich people do that. She is unapologetic and I really admire this quality. She is living the moment - esp when she goes for an inpromptu swim while still clad in elaborate gowns or simply walking off in middle of an interview citing needing a 'break' leaving the interviewer quite dazed, who does that? She doesn't care what others think. That's so important to be happy - ignore the world and live in your own happy 'bubble'. Negativity affects her skin, she says. And, I agree. The fact that she has a 27 yrs old son will perhaps surprise you...she has certainly maintained herself well - I guess, the effect of never eating any 'flour' in her life as she claims. I could go on and on...but why not check out her interviews yourself. You'll enjoy them for sure. An enigma ( in a positive way ), you bet you've not seen anything like her. She currently apears in the Netflix show of FLOBW ( aka Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives - representling the delhi socialites ) and has already overshadowed the rest of the cast. Love her, You'll not Hate her for sure and certainly can't afford to Ignore her. She is the only entertainly there currently is. An internet icon, she is there all over the place until perhaps another sensation comes along. Cheers n adios till then ~

BIGG BOSS 18 - A REVIEW ( SO FAR )

Just after enjoying the gripping Bigg Boss OTT3 ( Ranvir Shorey ) season this year in June-July, Bigg Boss 18 - the grand TV version ~ is back with a bang with an interesting line up of contestants. I didn't used to be a Bigg Boss fan, and skipped most of its previous seasons baring a few; but, after the Siddharth Shukla season, I've been hooked, and how! Come October, my days n dates are booked n hooked with BB for the next 3-4 months.

First few days of Bigg Boss are always a bit confusing. All contestants are unknown ( atleast for me, who ain't much of a TV or movie person ) and chaotic; but as days go by you start noticing the participants more closely...based on their actions and reactions to various situations unfolding in the house/game. You instantly notice some more intently than the others. They've managed to grab your attention! You can also make out who is genuine or fake. You relate to the events happening organically as opposed to the artificially created ones. Some of the contestants, having watched previous seasons, come thoroughly rehearsed and prepared; and, you can make out if they are trying to copy others from previous successful seasons. I've seen many trying to copy a Siddharth Shukla or an Asim Riaz..esp the men; while in female, many are trying to ape a Shehnaz with her rural accent or trying to create a love angle like she had done. That was an epic un-xeroxable season.

Coming to the current season...I'm finding Avinash Mishra desperately trying to copy Asim. Same topless, showing muscles with the mike strap wrapped around both his shoulders from the back - so typical. Sure, he is generating content everyday, by being intentionally rebellious against the whole house, but its a tried and tested very rehearsed tactic, which even Abhisekh had tried to enact in the '17 season albeit unsuccessfully. I like Chum Darang, who is from Arunachal. Her reactions seemed pretty genuine without any filter. I find Chahat Pandey interesting too, although, she is trying to act all coy and desi at all times. Annoying is Shrutika, who is pure acting all the time. That act of over-friendly innocence with heavy tamil accent went for a toss suddenly, when she had some arguement with Alice Kaushik. There, she spoke quite maturedly and sternly; but, afterwards went back to her overacting self..which an audience can instantly make out. Must add she is quite cunning underneath that facade. I also like Karanveer Mehra, who is quite a badass! He pokes, nonchallantly, lol.

Vivian DSena may consider himself a heart throb...blah blah...with his all knowing attitude and deep drawling voice, but, I'm not liking him as such. His confrontations with Chahat are also made up intentionally from his side, just for footage it seems. Tajinder Singh Bagga....well, contrary to his real life reputation ~ who goes around slapping oppositions and creating a ruckus, has been quite 'thanda' in the house. ( I know him from IC370 days in orkut ). He and Muskaan...are they even in the show?

I found Gunratan ( or what was his name? the advocate...darn...who loves his wife Jayshree to death ) with his flashy colourful disco dresses and dialogues, quite cute actually - "hum dakoowon ke khandaan se hai". He seemed to have vanished. Daku ne kidnapped kar liya kya usko? Hema has been evicted...hmmm..she was boring anyways, so nice decision. The couple duo - Mind Coaches ( Arfeen Khan and Sara )...OMG! now thats one mind coach who slaps herself in national television, and has been acting all hyper since day one. She needs therapy man! How are you calming others if you slap yourself out of frustration. It is understood, this house can get on your nerves...what with low rations...mind games, competition etc...but a reputed mind coach acting up and losing grip on herself..not cool lady. So unexpected.
I've skipped mentioning few others as they are just 'noise' or part of the 'crowd' at this moment. Not worthy to get footage on my blog right now ;-)

Salman Khan making an appearance as Baba Siddique gets shot by allegedly Bishnoi connections. Lets see where it goes.

Update 1 : Hmm...dunno..where to start. Lots have happened in the last one month...many evictions, too many wild card entries and the usual fights..etc. To be honest..I'm bored as everything is kinda repeatative. I'm in the stage where I keep my mobile on where Bigg Boss is playing and I'm doing other things in my Laptop. Lets see if they do anything interesting to grab my attention.

Update 2 : Only 2-3 weeks are left to the finale. This time it doesn't look as though the season will be extended, its not as interesting. I'm quite bored - the intentional fights and fake love angles for footage. I don't have any favourite as of now, so, doesn't matter who ultimately wins.

Update 3 : Well, well...after the family's week, I feel Nouran ( Vivian's wife ) and Chahat's and Kashish's mothers, to be better BB candidates considering their fiery approaches immediatelly on entering the house. They made it more interesting in the 2 days, than the contestants did the entire 3 months.

MY TWITTER TUSSLE WITH BIGG BOSS 6 INMATE SAPNA BHAVNANI

Let me first of all say,Sapna Bhavnani is quite a bindass woman and I do admire her crazy, carefree, NOT-CARE-A-DAMN attitude that she has towards life.I've seen her blog 'bombaykiraani' and I'm amazed at the creativity that she has,especially one particular blog post of hers that caught my eye, where she decided to decorate her expired plant named 'Stella' with colourful flowers.

I'm a creative person myself so somewhere I understand and identify totally with her wildness.Infact, initially she was the only inmate I had liked the most in Bigg Boss and wanted her to stay till the end and win.That was until......
Well what happens when you admire someone and then all of a sudden flaws start appearing from all over and as a result your opinion about that person goes for a toss? Well,thats exactly what happened.

I had thought she was the most daring,truthful,honest and sincere amongst all the inmates but then hypocrisy in her starts peeking out and you dont like that person anymore as before.

Hypocrisy Number 1 : When asked to do a certain task in the Bigg Boss6 - Alag Che house that included song/dance to a particular theme,she started yelling and did lot of hulla-balloo that she was not there to do bollywood nanga naach wearing short-short clothes,blah blah! However,just 1-2 days later she was seen by the pool and swimming wearing a skimpy bikini.Now thats not all, this hypocrisy of hers was further exposed when these pictures of hers started doing the rounds in internet. Now lets see who is doing the nanga naach here?
Moreover,why try to degrade bollywood when you are making a living out of styling bollywood celebrity's hairs who does those very song and dances for their livelihood? You are constantly seen in company of those bollywood stars which you proudly show off by posing pictures with them.So,indirectly you are feeding off bollywood too.Then why insult the hands that feed you?

When I tweeted the hypocrisy ( see tweet screenshots below ) she tried to mask it by saying she went nude for a Peta campaign.But what about the nanga naach? ( *see above pics* ) I dont see no Peta anywhere.So,who is she trying to fool.

Now,seeing these tweets some random people started advocating on her behalf,some even mysteriously deleted their tweets.Anyhow am posting whatever I could manage to get screenshot of.


Regarding her PETA shoot,even the current hottest porn queen Sunny Leone ( of Jism2 fame ) recently endorsed Peta and many of the other models/actress do these kinda campaigns from time to time,not because they are really concerned but because of the publicity and exposure that they get doing such bold ads. And a naked campaign will surely boost up your popularity meter! So its done just for selfish reasons.I seriously doubt if any of the Peta Models have ever done any real work for the animals.

Hypocrisy Number 2 : She said that she had come to the show to speak about women empowerment in the Bigg Boss house.But the only one thing she was seen doing right from begining was fight with every women out there and demean them.Right from calling someone a fat-cow ( moti bhains ) to labelling someone as fake,boring and loser,I didnt see her becoming friends with any female in the house.Is that what women empowerment is - to degrade other women and pick fights with them?


( We'll leave aside the fights she had with the men in the house as well..not even sparing the host of the show! )

Even with Sampat Devi Pal her interaction didnt seem genuine. Anyways I excuse that cos Sampat was too weird for my understanding.
( I dont understand why a strong woman as Sampat Devi Pal claimed herself to be cried at every given excuse,and same is the case with Sapna Bhavnani which takes me to my next point. )

Seriously WTF?

Hypocrisy Number 3 : Every friday on eviction day she used to cry loudly that she didnt like it in there at all,that she wanted to leave the house,but when on nomination day other inmates took her name ( keeping her requests in mind ) she'd get all angry and pissed off as to why they nominated her.
Lol,lady if you keep screaming that you want to leave naturally others will nominate you so that you can leave peacefully so why get angry when they nominated you.She'd sulk,fight and do bitching to show her anger.
If this was just drama that she did intentionally to attract attention and get footage then its okay cos Bigg Boss is a game but somehow I smelt big time hypocrisy there on her part.

Hypocrisy Number 4 : In the Bigg Boss house there was one festival being celebrated and one of the ladies asked her to join in.Sapna replied that she didnt believe or wasnt religious so she kept away.However there was another festival in the house and suddenly Sapna was seen folding hands,wearing a saree, tikka on her forhead and in a praying mode as the others sang some religious hymns.Now what the freak was that?
Thats not all, a person who claims that she is not religious is now busy posting pictures from Kumbh Mela on twitter.I wonder why on earth has she gone there??? Is it just to make a statement? Recently even Twitter's notorious and infamous stripping queen Poonam Pandey was seen posting pictures from Kumbh.So,I gather its the latest trend to catch on amongst controversial people, to be seen at the Kumbh.
You're are cool and happening if you are seen there especially with the naga-sadhus,doesnt matter if you believe or not.

Hypocrisy Number 5 : She insulted fellow inmate Sana Khan by saying that all Sana did was make up and run after the boys.Now who was seen flirting with Niketan Madhok,Vishal Karwal and Aseem Trivedi the most? Need we remind her? All of them much younger than her as well.
And what on earth is wrong if someone is obsessed with make up when you are yourself so obsessed with strange hair-colours,strange hair bands,flowers and what not?

Hypocrisy Number 6 : While she looked down upon hindi film songs calling them nanga naach, watch her 'Raat - Airport' video below smooching away. Ahh....the hypocrisy never ends, does it! lol


In the begining whenever she was nominated,she was saved by the audience who had voted for her in bulk.But I feel, like me seeing all these hypocrisies their interest in her too dwindled as well.The votes eventually got lesser and finally she got evicted.

Of course, here I must mention 'Iman Siddique', who simply stole the show right from under every inmate's noses.He was even a bigger 'nautanki' than Sapna was,however I dont think he was a hypocrite like her.Although I loved Urvashi's wicked mimicry of him regarding not having refrigerator in his house yet wanting hot water for bath,not being non-veg yet wanting omlette etc.But thats another story altogether.Read Imam's rise in popularity - Here

BIGG BOSS KI IMAM KI MAA KI TIME OUT

Ok...ok the post title shouldnot shock you. Honestly speaking,actually I was really confused and blank ( read - timed out ) as to what title I should give to this particular post.
I have seen 3 out of 6 Bigg Boss seasons and none had me freaked out as much as Bigg Boss Season 6 Alag Che did.

I mean...just uptil few weeks ago,everything was fine and I was just casually watching the big boss inmates do their usual mundane cooking, cleaning and other household chores and quite frankly before the 45 minutes of telecast were up I would nearly fall asleep.
I'll tell you why - Cricketeer Navjot Singh Siddhu's philosophies and advices were downright boring. Weird Sapna Bhavnani or her hair colours didnt interest at all, Rajev Paul's wooing of his ex-wife Delnaaz Irani first or his flirty romance with chirpy mirror-obsessed Sana Khan ( half his age ) later bored me no end. Gulabi Gang's Sampat Pal Deviji less said the better. The rest hardly worth a notice. Aashka Goradia's constant crying annoyed the hell out of me and I was quite glad that the audience had voted her out at last. Enough of that silly rona dhona and bina baat ka batanga.

Until of course she shifted to the Bigg Boss padosi mud house and Imam Siddique stepped in ( a wild card entry ) and all hell broke loose. He scared the wits out of her. I was jerked out of my sleepy state as well by Imam's antics, the ruckus that he created and I'm sure rest of the world would agree too. He woke us all up, literally.

Watching Imam is like...you go --- WTF was that!
The make up, the colourful clothes, the wigs, the props, the english, the attitude, the tandavs, the striptease...ooofff and not to mention the ever famous touching the cheek femininely with his finger and saying 'Time out' which even The Salman Khan wasnt spared off. Other famous words of his like 'Chalo bolo London', 'Chal be', 'Kundalini jagrit karna' would be the newest trendsetters said in the typical Imam Siddiqui eshtyle.

What a man yaar....or woman...or whatever he/she is. He surely can make your eyes pop out wide open. He was all over the house scaring and freaking out the inmates,and maybe the audience too. I'm sure the viewers ( including the ones who voted massively for Imam ) too would be scared at the very idea or thought of being anywhere alone with Imam Siddiqui let alone locked in a house for weeks.
I think only 3 housemates ( Sapna Bhavnani, Urvashi Dholakia and Santosh Shukla ) managed to intimidate him a bit, rest were all pussies. Rajev's fight with him was too hilarious ( especially the Maindak wala palti ). But I simply loved Urvashi's imitation of him doing the same 'time out' back to him.It was quite funny.

Though you know he is quite nasty and mean intentionally, you cant help but be curious as to what he'll come up with next.Maybe thats why he got so many votes and became the runners up of the show.
Love him, Hate him...but you surely cannot ignore him.....he wont let you, lol. He'll come right after you out of that idiot box ( aka TV ) hold you by your eye-balls and grab your attention.
Atleast,thats what he managed to do big time i.e grabbed attention of the whole world.

He may say that he was playing the game and want us to believe that it was all an act....but I strongly suspect that he is exactly the same in real life too. He is just too intriguing. A unique piece. I never enjoyed watching a character more than Imam's and we only like to see the unusual don't we. Its human nature.

However I'm glad he didnt win, else I'd been wondering where the hell did India's sensibilities go. Where are we headed.
Maybe I'm being hypocritical here a bit ...by enjoying Imam's show thoroughly yet not wanting him to win. Maybe because somewhere I still regard him as a villian and villians donot win at the end,right?
But he rightly said he did win million hearts ( or scared? )

SUNNY TIMES ON BIGBOSS

Indians have gone ballistic over a pornstar.Once unheard of in India suddenly Sunny Leone has now become a household name.Ever since Big Boss ( a reality show inspired by the BigBrother series UK ) announced its newest entrant into the BigBoss house,India is abuzz with news of Sunny Leone!Be it media,TV or the various internet groups/forums everyone is discussing only one thing,and thats Sunny Leone!And here I am writing a blog on the entire circus too.

BigBoss thrives on bringing all the controversial & infamous personalities together and locking them all up for a couple of months for the whole world to watch their antics via the 24hrs live cameras.The show has had till date some of the most foulest abuses and live fights in record among its participants! ( thats the show's real USP btw ).And people these days dished mostly with all kinda reality based shows ( most of them if not all crappy to say the least ) have no other option but to watch what all they are served with.They do have the option to switch off their remote buttons entirely ( irritated or the smart ones do exactly that ).

But there is also a growing number of voyeur audience ( who get the thrills watching what all goes on in other's or celeb's lives ) who laps it all up.It is they ( besides the media of course ) who are setting the whole cyber space abuzz with discussions about the pornstar.Sunny Leone's entire history has been dug out in details on these forums with her pictures plastered on the various walls 24x7.So famous is she now that even a Mahesh Bhat recently walked into the BigBoss house to offer her his next movie ( Jism2 ).Of course it is a publicity stunt but then who's complaining?Because at the moment a pornstar is ruling the indian hearts and masses!Of course that is only till another sensation comes along and India shifts their focus from Sunny.
So till then Sunny Leone might well enjoy all the fuss about her and also enjoy Sunlight Oops the Limelight!
