Everyone made fun of her, called her weird names; whistled and booed at her.
Tatia was fed up with her life; it was a horror going through the everyday mockery - her life was hell.
She considered ending her life, it was not easy when even her relatives made fun of her.
'Maybe, if you get rid of those weird doll collections, people will consider you 'normal', her sister was nastiest of them all.
'Oh Mum, how I wish you were here,' Tatia would cry into her pillows every night.
Only her deceased mother was the one who never bullied her.
To be considered "normal": that's what every child craves. Less so when they become adults
ReplyDeleteThis was uite sad and such a heart tug....
ReplyDeleteSad. Hope Tatia finds a happy ending at some point.
ReplyDeleteThat's so sad, Nandini. Hopefully she can eventually find people who will love her for who she is.
ReplyDeleteDear Nandini,
ReplyDeleteSuch a sad story. People should mind their own business.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Not caring about whether you are considered normal is an achievement to strive for.
