THE PINK WALL

'I'll reach home safe, don't worry mama,' Martha shivered as she recalled her daughter's high-pitched voice over the plane's roaring engine.

That was the last she heard of Tina, Martha held the family pictures in her hands.

They were some of Tina's favorites that she had framed especially the one that she got doodled when she stood near the carousel at the country fair.

One by one Martha pinned them to Tina's pink wall, one she'd never visit again.

The news kept flashing images of the horrific plane accident.

No one survived; numb, Martha just kept staring at the wall.

  6. What a tragic tale. I can't imagine the pain of losing a child. It's good she has a wall to say goodbye.
