He looked at the chandelier, 'twas time to serve its purpose.
He set his mind to work - this would be it!
First, he'd invite her casually for a dip in the pool outside; he'd then do the job ~ push her head under, keep her submerged till her body went still.
An evil smile crept at his lips, he'd then tie the body up there, everyone would think its a suicide.
'Whack' something banged his head, 'dreaming of my death again, you nitwit,' his wife was standing with a thick book.
'No honey, was about to clean this old thing.'

DeleteI wonder if it's the wife who is dreaming what is going on in her husband's mind. When it comes to stories one can't always take the narrator seriously (even if the author does). As the story goes she's the only one who physically punished someone with her thick book.
ReplyDeleteCould be...

DeleteSo which is the abusive one? Maybe he dreams of killing her to end her abusing him, or maybe she fights back to defend herself from his abuse. You've set up quite the scene here, open to interpretation.
ReplyDeleteI think both love to hate each other....
