1y Kahlil Gibran. It is said that before entering the sea
a river trembles with fear.
She looks back at the path she has traveled,
from the peaks of the mountains,
the long winding road crossing forests and villages.
And in front of her,
she sees an ocean so vast,
that to enter
there seems nothing more than to disappear forever.
But there is no other way.
The river can not go back.
Nobody can go back.
To go back is impossible in existence
The river needs to take the risk of entering the ocean
because only then will fear disappear,
because that’s where the river will know
it’s not about disappearing into the ocean,
but of becoming the ocean. -
How true are these words. We can never go back in time. Whats done is done. We cannot reverse our deeds and actions. We cannot reverse the journey we've travelled, from birth till now. Its all done and dusted. The good the bad. Its there forever etched in history ( of this planet ). Its what has shaped us into who we are now. Its the action we take in the moment, at present, that will decide the future. Like a river in its act to merge into the ocean becomes the ocean itself; its the act we do that'll decide the person we become, in whole - the wholesome personailty. So our present act matters a lot, and we have to do it. Everyone has to do it, everyday of their lives. Every day becomes months then the whole year we've lived. So, do the right action to reap right results and good karma ( vice versa ).
