“Every piece here tells a story,” Dini showed off her work-of-art proudly, to the rest of the group, “they share a bond with me, so special so rare.” She was sure to win the competition this time too. Her rocks never failed her.
Sani looked enviously. She wanted to win this time. She had to do something quickly, before the judges came. After the group went out, Sani came stealthily and dislodged all the pieces Dini had arranged and went out smugly.
When judges announced Dini’s name as winner, Sani was shocked. Dini’s rocks had re-arranged themselves – the magic bond they shared.

Dear Nandini,
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly how I feel about that arrangement. Your words did it justice. Well done.

This is very clever. One of your best, I think
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Dini was fated to win, or at least the rocks really wanted to win too. :)
ReplyDeleteDear Nandini, Wow, Sani is a sneak and undeserving of the win. I'm glad there were magical powers at work to help Dini win. Great story! Nan
ReplyDeleteThose rocks really are special. Well told and entertaining.
