She knew, she had to prioritize things; stack up her house and cars with the essentials.
Or, like her ignorant neighbors be immersed in mindless style and glamour.
And, be stranded in those long freak floods with nothing but water all around for company.
She had seen it only too often; it had fine-tuned her preparedness.
Some never learnt, inspite of being aware of the situations; but, she wouldn't have to worry about it.
Come flood, epidemic or wars, she always hoarded enough to feed an entire army; while the others helplessly wondered how to wade to the nearest store.
Nice watercolor. It is always best to be prepared for what might happen.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Happy New Year!!

Delete...prioritizing things is a skill that few have.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the store is open during those long freak floods.
ReplyDeleteWe get hurricanes and floods, and have learned to simply stay prepared while hoping, please, not this year.
ReplyDeleteAs someone who lives in a town which has been severely flooded three times in recent years, I applaud preparedness!
ReplyDeleteReady for anything
ReplyDeleteDear Nandini,
