Where on north, is the lofty snow-clad Himalayas,On east lies exotic rain forests, pristine green valleys.
West known for their vast deserts; sandy Thar, salty Rann;
Centre is the extinct volcanic plateau Deccan,
Surrounded on all sides by blue-green seas and ocean.
India, a place where seasons are plenty,
Languages, dialects all so many,
A mixture of various colours, cultures and ethnicity!
Where the rich resides, with poor in their neighbourhood,
Swanky cars, bullock carts riding the same road!
Wildlife, trekking, beaches – India; a tourist’s paradise,
Home of the Yoga, Ayurveda and Mathematics,
Now spread world-wide.
Few words aren’t just enough,
To describe my beloved India.
