THAT ADMISSION

Half-hearted, she looked at the decorations she had spent hours to prepare - the perfect setting, only for him, them!

But would there ever be a 'them', was its all one-sided?

Alone, she stood, knees almost trembling not making it to the chairs she so enthusiastically had arranged.

Those hints and shy smiles, the healthy flirting - did she just over-think and day dream after all?

She just couldn't grasp what he said on phone, it was unbelievable; not this day at least, when she was about to blurt her feelings for him.

But, what about his admission, that he was gay?

  4. Oh dear, that didn't go the way she was hoping. Not sure there is much to be salvaged here except perhaps a solid friendship?

  8. How disappointing! It took a lot of courage to be ready to confess her feelings. Perhaps all is not lost.

  9. No reason they can't remain best of friends, unless she can't handle the truth.

  10. I hate it when that happens! Unrequited love can be the strongest love of all, but it's based in fantasy after his admission. Well-told story, Nandini.

    Dear Nandini,
What a bitter disappointment. At least he's being honest with her. Well done.
    Shalom,

  14. If only there were a way to read people for those of who don't do it so well before feelings creep in. Very relatable story.
