ADVENTURE OF OPENING A MYSTERIOUS PARCEL

It was the hottest topic in town; a mysterious parcel amongst others was doing the rounds.

Nobody knew what it contained or by whom it was sent, except that, the recipient would soon meet his end.

Every time the door-bell rang, Rita's heart skipped a beat; like rest of town, she too was afraid ~ cos' on its way was a parcel, she was notified.

A parcel she dreaded to receive.

Yet, there it lay, scattered in front of her, sea-shells of varying sizes inches and centimeter; contents of the parcel she reluctantly opened.

Will she now ultimately meet her end?

  2. You know the saying about curiosity? Better to reject the package and not let it get into the house. I pray she stays safe.

  5. A definite mystery, albeit frightening one. I wonder that seashells have specific meaning to her? That the parcels sent to each person are individualized?

  6. You've started what could be a fascinating mystery. Who sends these, what's in them, and what do the recipients have in common?

I must be On The Edge too. I agree. This is the first scene of a mystery where someone, preferably Rita, finds out who's sending these packages and stops them. Even if it's some sort of mystical curse...mythic curses are made to be broken!
