“You are pathetic! Don’t ever come back,” she shut the door at him, with a volley of abuses.
Nothing new, he found himself wandering off, to his usual place.
As the cars zoomed past by him over the bridge, he smoked, his mind lost in thoughts.
Like it happened, as always, should he apologize and beg her for another chance?
So, he wasn’t perfect, nor righteous, but, didn’t those very characteristics appealed to her right in the beginning?
Why then, was she hell-bent on changing him?
No, he wouldn’t go back! This time, he chose the waters instead – a sedate end.

I can just her him that will fix her. It's terrible when someone isn't thinking clearly and wants to kill themselves.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sorry tale. Such utter despair is hard to imagine.

It surely happens. Well told.
ReplyDeleteSad. He is cutting off his nose to spite his face. He should just leave her, no need to kill himself. Well done.
ReplyDeleteSad because it's all too often true.
