On the floor, motionless, she lay,
Her eyes, un-blinking, in a stare.
Was she dead? Was it a prank?
Dumbfounded, I was,
Frozen at my spot, I stood,
All too nervous!
Call a police, do I?
Or an ambulance?
My mind raced,
in a jittery dance.
Honey, I’m home, the door opened
and she walked in,
While on the floor, I could see her
still lying.
As my life nearly
jumped out of my body,
She slid her hand around,
holding me steady.
The girl blinked and stood,
the scene had me baffled,
That darling, is my twin,
finally, she whispered.
