“We’ll meet by the beach,” he had promised, “I’ll carry a rose, you wear a scarf.”
Delighted at the prospect of meeting her beloved atlast, Rosa could barely wait.
“When will we meet?” She had asked him umpteenth times, to which he always promised one day soon.
They had met online and fell in love. A world of 'words' had brought them closer, but they had still to meet in real.
And he had agreed today.
Rosa ran to the beach, wearing the scarf as instructed. Anxiously, she looked hoping to see someone carrying a rose – but he never came.
