Finland, 1968, photo by George F. Mobley
It was a large family,
Healthy, cheerful and happy.
All were set for the ultimate holiday,
In the hills, where they planned to play.
So, the journey began
From their humble home-town,
Children, adults, couples and elders,
They counted each head, several times.
Yet, as they landed,
to their horror they found,
By mistake, they had left
their tiniest one back.

DeleteThere is a creepiness brought up by the word "head," which gets gloomier with the thought of the "tiniest one" left behind.
