“Can we have bit of silence, please?” The purgatory attendant tried to quieten them.
“We have some issues lately. Hell is currently house-full and all of you cannot enter heaven, obviously. Who’ll like to go the newly built island for souls? Choose wisely, there’s a catch!”
“Me!” Everyone yelled. All were instantly transported to the island where they got new life as trees for eternity. 'Catch' being crooked!

There's always a catch. Hopefully there are no beavers on that island too. :)

DeleteDear Nandini,
ReplyDeleteGiven the choice, Purgatory might not be a bad place to stay for a while. Interesting concept. Hell full?

Rochelle

DeleteGood story. Patience is a virtue. The fact that this bunch didn't have it was probably one of the reasons they ended up in purgatory. Well done.
ReplyDeletethanks :-)
DeleteWhen somebody tells you there's a catch--listen up. Good twist.
ReplyDeletethanks...yea, its always better to listen :-)
DeleteYou have to be so canny when dealing with those purgatory people. Always trying to catch us sinners out. Nice parable.
