'We got it, now what,' Ana looked over Rob's shoulders who clutched the ancient book.
They had trespassed the forbidden tunnel.
'I'm still sure this ain't just machinery blueprints, it hides a portal,' Rob studied the contents seriously.
Ana was more eager to run, she anyways had come reluctantly on that trip, 'then what are you waiting for, just whisper the 'mantras'.
'Hold on, I'm doing just that,' Rob whispered into the book, nothing happened.
'They're just rumors, lets go,' Ana, on the verge of panic attack as suddenly a growling gust of wind slammed the tunnel door shut.

ReplyDeleteOoops! That's not good.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I think someone/something has been called. Best of luck to them.
ReplyDeleteOh no! What a great cliffhanger.
ReplyDeleteI hope they find their way out or come up with the right mantras to open the door.
ReplyDeleteAnd then? You cannot just leave me hanging!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, they ignored the word 'forbidden', this does not bode well!
ReplyDeleteIt never fails. Say forbidden and it's like a neon welcome sign to some!
ReplyDeleteSomething wicked this way lurks...🤫
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking maybe no way back now.
ReplyDeleteOh no, the slamming of the door is not a good omen. Wonderful suspense!
ReplyDeleteOminous ending, Nandini.
ReplyDeleteShalom,
Rochelle
It sounds as if they will be needed help soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much @everyone...for all your lovely comments!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun!
ReplyDeleteThough perhaps they should have stopped while they had the chance?
Well done

Sometimes you just have to leave well enough alone.
