The sky above had turned into strange shades of grey,
As its hues spread, in her heart rose a certain dread,
Her lover a prisoner, would be coming soon to take her,
Breaking barriers, of law, and all frontiers…
While her heart should’ve been happy,
She strangely feels just the opposite,
Her heart yearned for his return, but mind warned thousand times,
A killer’s place was in jail, behind bars, and not in the open,
For his escape meant, a society, threat-laden…
No time to loose, in a dilemma she was,
Alas, listening to mind, she informed the jailors.

Torn between heart and mind! Nice story :-)
ReplyDeleteShe did the right thing. I wonder if she will regret it? She certainly would have if she had obeyed her heart instead of her mind.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow. This is a great story.
