HAUNTED?

As she changed her clothes, powdered her nose, put on the make-up, Nadia always felt someone watching her. This particular green-room at the back of the theatre, where she performed had this old mirror.

Rumours were rampant that it was haunted. Often sounds of whistles, chuckles and giggles were heard in the vicinity, though there’d be no one around. At times snorts too, as though someone is disapproving of a particular look. Nadia, scared but acting-brave, carried on her daily make-up ritual before her performances.

Until, one day she spotted the culprits herself. Neighbourhood kids playing pranks, behind the window.

Fun. Very readable. Kind of unnerving, too, in that one spot.

  9. Kids... always messing with you.... I like the thought of a haunted mirror, though. Phantom of the Opera type drama!
