INSPIRATION

Starry Night by Alex Ruiz

At every dusk fall, I'd always come rushing,
The blanket of the twinkling stars, my forever inspiration,
The moon-lit reflected mystical terrain,
That my canvas yearned, to be splashed with the paint.
Yet, today I stand distracted,
The usual scenery no more pleasant,
My mind too is distant....
With the girl I recently met.
Her eyes deeper than the dark-blue skies,
Her smile brighter than the twinkling stars,
Her aura, more prettier than these flowers scattered,
Her whole being, exotic than this ethereal sight.
She attracts me, like a moth to the flame of a candle,
No more you, but, she's my new inspiration.
