THE SILENT ADMIRER

He waited for her. This was her daily jogging path. Enchanted by her; he had longed to tell her, his feelings. But words would get stuck right at his throat, never coming out.

But he could admire her anyways, from a distance. Maybe someday gather guts too, to speak to her, he hoped.

But she didn’t come that day, strange. And many days after that too!
He wondered what happened as he waited. Another day passed.

An ever-silent admirer, his heart got crushed today. It was too late now. She was coming, jogging with a new man his way, married.

  5. Nandini,
Maybe he should have spoken up earlier. The ironic thing would be if her new husband was someone else she met jogging, just a little way up the path. :)
