WELCOME TAATI

Copyright-Al Forbes

Taati twisted and turned in her new bed. They had shifted to this obscure little town, leaving the posh city life. Taati hated it.

There was a poke on her shoulder.
Taati opened her eyes wide. It was still night, and to her horror, a white face was floating above. It had no body attached.

“Welcome Taati,” it said.
“Who’re you?” Taati whispered, sweat streaming down her temple.
“You’ll find out,” the face replied, and vanished.

Next day at her new school, as Taati glanced up, the white face from last night winked at her, from atop her Principal’s door.

  2. Dear Nandini,

That was certainly a bizarre welcome to a strange new place. If I were Taati I'd pull the covers over my head and never peek out.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

    Dear Nandini,

Switch to WordPress please. Your blog hosting site is messing with my comments which were all very nice but now are gone. Will try to post this one more time since I've already typed all these words. But it feels rather futile.

  4. That would definitely be a horror story, to have one's principal at watch in your bedroom! You'd be afraid to do anything in there. How about getting undressed?
