THE BIRTHDAY

She hated it. It was her birthday today,
Yet, she had none to spend it with.
An orphan, it was always this way,
She had none to call her own.
No one turned up, no one called.
She got up and went outside,
Saw some street children playing.
She called them, bought cakes
And celebrated!

  9. ...that's the way to celebrate --- yes, the best kind of all... if there is none who wants to share a blessing with you why not just be a blessing for the less fortunate ones... & for sure it will be more rewarding experience to cherish with... loved this... smiles...

  10. If we all lived more like this, no-one would ever have to be alone again.
