STEPS - POETRY JAM

I
Preen,
I Prance,
Down the steps,
Straight from the heavens,
In my new life on earth, I breathe,
Ignorant, untouched, demure, shy and still very raw,
Till suddenly the realities of the world strikes and strips me off my innocence.

We can see you go down those steps, from heaven into a world that gets bigger as you discover it. Great use of the form.

  6. Lessons learned along the way do often strip the innocence off and leave a rough patina ... darn it!
