A LETTER FROM THE SOUL

To, My Past Alive Body…….

You smoked the pot, ciggies and drank what not,
You ignored all advices, and let your body rot,
Life is but temporary, you simply forgot.

For just a silly ‘high’,
You abused your own body, a lot,
When cancer grabbed you, you cried lot.

Hungry, or thirsty,
But through your mouth, you could eat not,
Pipes inserted in your body, more discomfort.

Lung, throat and oral cancer,
Caused from smoking,
Only makes you a pathetic sight, pretty not!

You made your body impossible for me to reside,
Such torture, I could tolerate not,
And ultimately, you drove me out.

I know you regret and want a 2nd chance now,
But chance is something, you get not!
What you had, you didn’t value and forever lost.

From Your Unhappy Soul....

    1. yes..once its too late...its just too late and no going back. I saw some cases very close. its really sad how people suffer in the end because they didn't take precaution earlier...took their bodies for granted.

  5. dang....hard words...and wish it would have come sooner you know....or maybe we just need to listen to our souls a bit better earlier on...we def pay for the decisions that we make...and oft fool ourselves thinking otherwise...

    1. thanks a lot Brian...ya we tend to ignore the voice of our soul, and realize only when the harms already done.

  6. The soul has a voice, but sadly it may only be respected a little too late.

  9. Oh your are quite right ... we abuse our bodies all the time, if not with drugs and smoke, maybe food an sloppyness. I can see the soul reaching out and telling you it's given up. Very sad, and I hope it's not true for you.

An unfortunate fact to the lives of many. It is too bad when the age comes that the body simply cannot get over the abuse we put it through. Nicely written.
